Discover Southern Europe
Eddi Fiegel is now Editor of Discover Southern Europe, a new monthly magazine focusing on travel, culture and food and drink in Spain, France, Italy and Portugal. She would like to receive pitches from PRs regarding prominent personalities from the arts or chefs from any of these countries with a view to profiles and potential cover features. She is also open to general travel story ideas relating to Southern Europe. Deutsche Presse-Agentur (dpa) / Europa Press
The Spanish and German newswires Europa Press and Deutsche Presse-Agentur are creating a joint, Spanish-language news service, which will provide around 300 pieces of news per day. Europa Press has produced photo content for dpa for the past two years and has been providing news about Spain to dpa office in Madrid, where the agencies wish to share office space in the future.

DIE ZEIT / ZEIT ONLINE
Karsten Polke-Majewski and Holger Stark are now Joint Editors on the new investigative reporting desk of the German weekly national newspaper DIE ZEIT. The aim of the new desk, which merges the print and online teams, is to increase cooperation across all media channels and to facilitate large projects. Karsten was previously Data/Investigative Reporting Editor for ZEIT ONLINE, and Holger was the Editor for the print team.

Gabi Bauer is now a Reporter and Author on the culture and documentary desk for the German public regional broadcaster Norddeutscher Rundfunk (NDR). Gabi, who in her new role will work both behind and in front of the camera, was previously a Presenter of the daily TV show 'Nachtmagazin' (Night Magazine) for Das Erste, Germany's umbrella organisation of national broadcasters.
